A&R Roster

Getting started tracking artist of interest on A&R Roster.

A&R Roster is built for A&R teams to track artists of interest and monitor their growth across socials and streaming platforms, all in one place. Keep tabs on which artists your team is talking to, how far along each conversation is, and if you've already sent out a deal.

Where to Find It

A&R Roster lives under Research Hub in the left-hand side panel. Click in to start tracking the artists you're interested in.

Tracking Artists in A&R Roster

Start tracking artists using the New A&R Profile button. You'll see the option to track artists with or without a Spotify profile.

  • For artists with a Spotify profile, use the search functionality to start tracking them.

  • If the artist hasn't released anything on Spotify yet, create a profile by manually entering their name and socials.

Artist Profiles

Click into any artist name to see their profile. This will give you a breakdown of:

  • Streams across their whole catalog

  • Growth on Instagram and TikTok, and all their social sounds in one view

Toggle between the Streaming and Social tabs to see relevant artist information in both views. Use the filters or toggles to narrow in on specific time frames, regions, or platforms.

Each profile has dedicated sections for Notes, Contact info, Demos, and Artist Photos, so the most important details on an artist live in a single view.

Editing Artist Profiles

To edit or update an artist profile, use the edit button in the top right corner of their artist profile. Use this to update their status and socials so you're always tracking all the relevant profiles for the artist.

Use Cases

Keeping track of conversations:

Move artists between stages as conversations progress, whether you're just discovering them, in active conversations with legal, or you’ve signed them.

You can also use the Status tabs to quickly see what stage each artist you're tracking is in, and hone in on artists at a specific stage.

Quickly spot growth:

Sort and filter your list to surface artists seeing significant growth across socials and streaming. From the central view in A&R Roster, use the filters right below the search bar to define specific metrics and growth you're looking for across Spotify, streaming, and social platforms.
